Welcome To Pegasus Falls

In the continent of Estrium, above the clouds in the great Heaven-Reaching Mountains, there is a lake. The so-called Lake of Shining Waters, fed by the snowmelt of the mountain peaks and kept warm by millennia-old druidic and fae magic, is a refuge for magical wildlife and the one remaining place in the realm where pegasi breed in the wild.

The waters from the lake cascade down a miles-high cliff, forming what the people of the land refer to as the Pegasus Falls.

These waterfalls feed an impressive network of rivers and lakes along which the people of the continent have built their villages, towns, and cities, collectively referred to as the Kingdom of Pegasus Falls and protected by the Pegasus Riders of the Royal Guard.

In the town of Fairfell, many miles from anything important, unlawful activity has caused the Town Guard to post a sign on the town square notice board. They are seeking adventurers to assist them with their problem.

Welcome to Pegasus Falls, a Dungeons and Dragons sim!

WHAT WE ARE

We are a Nova-based sim affiliated with Pegasus Fleet. We follow the trappings and, generally speaking, the universe rules of Dungeons and Dragons (5th edition). However, unlike most D&D games, we are mostly narratively based and play asynchronously.

HOW WE WORK

Characters are made using the rules of Dungeons and Dragons (5th edition). Most gaming interactions are narrative, as one might encounter while playing any ordinary Nova-based sim.

Every now and then, a player will perform checks to see how a situation unfolds. When to do these checks might come from the DM, but players are encouraged to be proactive. Checks are conducted using a dice bot in Discord.

For example: a player might want to write about a social interaction with the tavern owner. Rather than simply writing the conversation how they would ordinarily want it, they would first do a Charisma/Persuasion check with a default difficulty of 10. If they roll above 10, it goes the way they want it, and if they roll well above 10, then it goes very well. If they roll badly, the tavern owner doesn't respond well to them.

See the right menu on the "Sim" page for information on how this works, including pages on character creation and combat.

WHERE TO FIND INFO

Please feel free to develop your character from any legitimate D&D 5E book or document. If it is marked homebrew or Unearthed Arcana, please check with the DM first.

Plenty of information on playable races, classes, backgrounds, and all the information you might need to make your character and play can be found here.

WHO WE ARE

We are simmers who enjoy Dungeons and Dragons, or who otherwise want to write in a sword-and-sorcery fantasy setting! Are you like that? Join today!

Pegasus Falls is rated 223 and limited to players aged 18 and older. For more information, see our Rules page.

RPG Rating 2 2 3

Pegasus Falls is a proud member of Pegasus Fleet's Division 74.

Before everyone had gone to bed, they had made an agreement: get up when you wanted, spend the morning resupplying, but at high sun, meet in the town square. They worked well together and there was still time before Alicea needed to be in Silkspell.

Jaene and Alicea had woken…
